Many of us have a desire to understand life beyond the immediate needs of food, clothing, housing and companionship. Some find this in a constant round of fun, parties, sex and so on. Yet, fun though these are, they are not always enough.

Where can we go to ask the questions about life’s meaning? How do we seek out God, if He exists at all?

Harmonyic sees all of us as pilgrims on a journey. Some have found answers that work for them. We all have stories to tell, experiences to share but we don’t want the hard sell of the religious version of the double-glazing salesman.

What can we learn about our individual spiritual journey? Click here for some ideas.

Harmonyic offers training to churches and other organisations in how to approach this area and will also run reflective days/week-ends. For details click here.

Harmonyic also runs Spiritual retreats for groups of people. If you would like more information click here

Our Spiritual Journey

We view it simply like this. We are all on a journey of discovery through life. Our experiences help to mould our thinking. Humans are naturally spiritual people and need to mould their thinking with their spiritual needs in mind. A diagram might help

The three cogs represent three aspects of our lives.

The Our World Cog is the one we notice most. It concerns our work, our relationships, our families, our hobbies. It naturally involves our hopes, joys and fears.

The GOD Cog represents our faith beliefs (even an atheist has a faith belief. I.e. That there is no God!) However the true spiritual dynamic at work is outside what we actually hold to be true. The reality of God’s existence or not is not just dependent on what we believe

The Spirituality Cog in the centre represents those activities in which we engage that seek to fulfill our spiritual desires. For people of faith this would include an act of worship. For some it might be sitting under crystals, meditation and so on. Our spirituality has to engage with our world and God if it is to be of any help to us. Do your spiritual activities do this. Can you enable your world with all its concerns to be engaged and turned by God ? Can your world help to shape your spirituality and your understanding of God? It is only as these three cogs engage and help each other to turn that we can fully understand our life journey.

How might you find ways of doing that?
